Scholarships.com - Free scholarship search and financial aid information. Helping students find money for college since 1998. Search 3,000+ scholarship sources worth over $3 billion in aid, get customized, relevant results, application letters and more.

This looks like another good site that lists
scholarships; however, it also organizes them by major and category. There
is also a page that gives suggestions for organizing your information. You
will still have to search for the scholarship in some cases (via Google, etc.),
but it gives you the name to search for.
Tips for Applying for Scholarships
-
Beginning with 9th grade, keep a
portfolio of all athletic and academic achievements and awards as well as
any community service work/projects that you do
-
By the end of 11th grade, have three
written letters of recommendation available
-
Beginning in 8th/9th grade, start
searching for ways to fund your education! It's never too early to
start thinking about that--even if most scholarships aren't available until
12th grade.
-
Don't spend money searching for
scholarships. Utilize only FREE web searches.
-
Involvement in extracurricular
activities and volunteer work is looked on favorably, but it's about what
the experience has done for you or how it has changed you. Keep track
of your thoughts and experiences so that you can share those in your
personal essays.
-
For example, you'll get more
"points" for being able to convey who you are and how events have
brought you to this point in your life
-
You'll also get more "points" for
being able to draw a clear connection between your personal history and
goals
