Mr. Lucas

Mr. Lucas is teaching Math this year but he is also our Physics teacher too.

He is in his fifth year here in the Chesaning School District.

Mr. Lucas earned his undergraduate degree in engineering science from the University of Michigan - Flint. He also has a Masters of Science, Mechanical Engineering (M.S.M.E.) from Michigan State University. He earned his teaching certificate from Saginaw Valley State University and is certified to teach mathematics and physics.

Before coming to Chesaning, Mr. Lucas taught engnineering and physics courses at the University of Michigan in Flint including Machine Design, Statics, Introduction to Engineering, and various physics labs.

He has been an engineer, mostly in the automotive industry, both in product and manufacturing engineering. Some of the products he worked on include cruise control, body structure acoustics, and instrument clusters. He is also a licensed professional engineer in Michigan. He also does consulting on the side once in a while. His consulting specialty is industrial ventilation, as well as some HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning).

Mr. Lucas also coaches boys and girls soccer.
