Once you have completed your web site on your personal computer, you will want to publish it on the IamMEA server. There are several ways to do this. The easiest way is to use the Easy Upload utility we have provided for you. You can also use a purchased package such as Microsoft FrontPage 2002 or WS-FTP Pro or the built-in windows FTP utility.

Using the Easy Upload Interface on this site

We have provided an easy way for you to publish your web site. Use the following steps:
  1. On the left side of the Home page is a section titled My Toolbar. Under this section, click on the Easy Upload link.

  2. Using the Browse button, select the files you would like to upload.

  3. Click the Upload Files button. Your files will be uploaded. If you are finished moving files, click the Done button. Otherwise, click the Upload More Files button to continue uploading.

Using WS-FTP Pro to upload files
  • If you already have a site profile set up for -
    1. Open WS-FTP Pro.
    2. Select your profile from the drop-down list.
    3. Click OK to connect to the server.
    4. If prompted, enter your password.
    5. Move the file(s).
    6. Click Close.

Publishing using Microsoft FrontPage

  1. Save your web.

  2. From the File menu at the top, select Publish Web.

  3. A pop up box will appear allowing you to specify where to publish your web. Type (ex: and click the OK button.

  4. You will be prompted for your User Id and Password. Please enter them. Note that all the characters should be in lower case, unless your password contains upper case characters. Click the OK button.
  5. Click on "Options." Specify whether you want to publish only pages that have changed or all pages.

  6. Click Publish.

Using the windows built-in FTP utility to upload files

  1. Open a command window
    1. Click on your Start menu
    2. Choose Accessories
    3. Choose Command Prompt
  2. A command window will open. Type ftp and press Enter.
  3. Enter your user id and press Enter.
  4. Enter your password and press Enter.
  5. You may now use FTP commands to move files. If you need help, type ? and press Enter for a list of commands.
